Imagine Earth without people

Quite interesting piece in New Scientist. Think the world would be better off if global warming and the rest get rid of humans altogether!

Yes, very good piece. As the article itself concludes, imagining a flourish post-human earth is both a humbling and slightly comforting prospect. I'm coming round to the (admittedly philosophically problematic) notion that maybe things would be better without us.

John, if you want a break from our misanthropy, watch the South Park World of Warcraft episode. It's on You Tube. You might have to search for it a bit - the full episode is in 3 parts, each about 7 minutes long (as opposed to clips and trailers).
