Following up on a couple of earlier posts...

Further to the ancient bittorrent discussion, I've just discovered uknova.com which links to torrents of British TV and radio media. They've got the first two episodes of "The Power of Nightmares" (I can put them up on fitzroytuesday.homelinux.net if anyone's wanting them for conventional download). Terry Jones Medieval Lives series plus loads of I'm Sorry I Haven't a Clue also available - fantastic!

Also, my Neal Stephenson posting spurred me toward buying "Quicksilver." Amazon delivered end of last week - started reading it immediately and it is astoundingly good, can't recommend it highly enough etc.

I missed half of first pon and all of second, so would be interested in getting that. How much hard drive space is required?

Also, do they have Century of the Self, Adam Curtis's last one?

I've put them up at fitzroytuesday.homelinux.net . Just right-click and save as to download - both files are >600MB so might take a while depending on your connection.

Can't see that "Century of the Self" one - I did see the Mayfair Set (on telly) a while ago and thought that was pretty good.

i had to get bt broadband which has a miserable 1gb monthly allowance, so I might have to do them one at a time.

will they be there for a while? and is last night's final episode likely to become available?
