Funnily enough, just logged on with the intention of posting something similar, John. Not bad myself, though struggling to muster much enthusiasm at work since returning from trip to Kintail a couple of weeks ago, so sypathise with you Seumas. Looking forward to another week in Scotland from 20th Aug - perhaps track you down while there? Still at the parents? Tom and I (plus Steve and Dave) cycled to Oxford last weekend, which was a laugh.

things are good up here in scotland - be great to see any passing fitzrovians. fun to be in edinburgh while the festival is on (ladyboys everywhere!). claire and i are job hunting and (sort of) house hunting (can't really do the latter without sorting out the former). my dad reckons boness is going to be the next central scottish property hotspot...

Yes, I'm spending a lot of my time wondering why I'm still in London. Every month that passes there seem to be fewer and fewer good reasons for being here.

Had a good time cycling and looking forward to a few days in Loch Awe in a couple of weeks. Will be in Edinburgh afernoon/evening of Sat 27, and would be good to see any Fitzroys up there.

quite a nice day today up in edinburgh - the underemployed mains are off to portobello beach for the morning (from paddling at gullane at last week i can report that the water in the firth of forth isn't actually all that cold this time of year).

I'll be in town that day, although I'll have my friends Jenny and Matthias up from that London, and they're booking tickets for quite a few films.
