Wherever I lay my hat....

I'm moving flat. Place I'm in is closing down, so I'm off to see other bits of London. There's a reasonably nice place I saw in Finchley that I'll probably go for. Anyone know what that area is like (I only visited it once)? Is £360 + bills a reasonable rent? They do have wireless broadband...

(Unfortunately, I couldn't find any gratuitous link to throw in here...oh yeah, Age of Empires III demo is out)

Finchley's quite nice I think. I used to put the car into a garage just off Ballard's Lane. Suburban, leafy, "rus in urbe" kind of place. Pleasant bus route too - No.82 goes down to the West End past Golders Green and the Regent's Park mosque. Not sure about getting across to the City though.

Also: AOE III looks stunning but I don't have enough computing power to run it. Xbox 360 comes out on 2nd December however :-D

Yes, it's nice - we're actually going there this afternoon to see (inevitably) some friends and their new baby. It is very much a place for families and you might miss the urban excitement of Hackney. Rent of £360 a month sounds very reasonable
