Keith on Keith

Just watched the Keith Allen program about Keith Floyd on the Channel 4 website. I say watched - actually had to abandon it about 1/2 way through because it was so dire. Nice countryside around Avignon though, kudos to Floyd for going to ground (as it were) in a lovely part of the world.

But did the doc have anything to do with Keith dying mere hours after it was broadcast? Did he see it or hear about it and get upset? Or was it coincidence?

I don't think he got to see it -which was probably fortunate. Just a coincidence.

If it hadn't been Keith Allen, I would probably tried to have catch this - can't stand Allen's aggressive egotism.

Glad I missed it. I hate Keith Allen

He actually had one or two redeeming moments in the 1/2 episode I watched. Hell of a lot of redeeming to do of course.

Wow - just googled the "Latitude fesitval" and discovered it's in Southwold, home of the Adnams Brewery and their most wonderful and renowned "Broadside" beer. Somewhere I've always wanted to go (tho preferably sans Keith Allen).

What did you say to Monsieur Allen to irk him so?

Oh it was quite a minor thing. Keith Allen was having an impromptu jam round a piano with some Colombian jazz musicians, and didn't take kindly to me requesting "Hey Jude" and "Vindaloo". He got even crosser when I asked for "Kumbaya" and the musicians duly obliged. Latitude was good fun - very family friendly and in a beautiful setting.
