Never knew that 'berk' was from cockney rhyming slang 'Berkshire Hunt'. Or that Threadneedle St previously had such a fruity name.
aye - but isn't berkshire pronounced bark-shire?
Hm. Either it is nonsense, or the pronunciation has changed, which isn't out of the question.
