Oxford's Castle Mill boatyard is evicted. Bah - something authentic and interesting gets traded in for some more jerry built "luxury" flats. A plague on British Waterways (In this instance anyway - they've made a pretty good job of the Forth and Clyde canal).

Yes, this has been threatened for a long time but has obviously come to a head now. What a terrible shame. It's places like the boat yard that stop Oxford from becoming yet another expensive, bland and smug part of the South East. This country really is in danger of losing everything that made it beautiful and interesting.
