I agree, I quite like the Lea Valley as it is. Post industrial quasi urban wilderness much more interesting than some anodyne Olympic Stadium plus rail link. Once had an incredible (and slightly frightening) nighttime cycle ride across the marshes from Springhill Marina to Walthamstow, the lights of Canary Wharf blazing into sky to the south...
