'It's serious (and interesting) but don't panic'

I reckon Fitzrovian Tuesdays falls into the alarmism and (occaisonally) the comic nihilism camps...

Ha! Yes, you're probably right. Although I did post an example of techno-optimism the other day for balance, and have my 'small actions' moments.

I like their view that 'comic nihilism' is 'a predominantly British trait'. This chimes with my view that black comedy is the only rational response to the modern world. Although the examples they're talking about are probably from the Jeremy Clarkson end of the spectrum, so maybe not.

Yes, I probably spend most of my time in the alarmism camp, although I have moments of techno-optimism and am generally a strong advocate of small actions, if only because they make me feel better.
