Invisible Touch



Another storming track from back in the day. Phil Collins pretending that his drumsticks are a microphone is bloody annoying even 20 years later. Some part of me still reckons 1980s grey flecked suits are dead cool though, couple of beauts on show here.

How on earth did Phil Collins ever become one of the biggest music stars on the planet in the 80s? Someone should have rammed those drumsticks somewhere painful and taken him out of the picture for a few years until the danger had passed.

Yes, Phil Collins must definitely mark a low point for Western culture. As Colin says, how did he ever become so popular? That a chubby bald right-wing drummer should conquer the world with super-bland yuppie pop shows how ghastly popular culture once was. And probably still is.
