The latest environmental disaster - Google
Sorry guys, to do the first global warming horror story of 2009, but this was a bit alarming. It seems that Google searches use up an incredible amount of energy. Like pretty much everything we do in the modern world.

Yes, saw this. Google posted a riposte almost immediately.
Hmm, good rebuttal. This stuff is very difficult. It's true - doing a search on Google far less energy intensive than going to the local library to check something. But of course, we never used to do that. We just got by without - something the world isn't really able to come to terms with.
