Yes, I do feel that it's moving rapidly up the agenda of liberal America, and events in California have been encouraging. However, I've no sense at all that it has permeated into the mid-west meatheads who actually determine American politics. (And depressingly, the Republicans have apparently rallied in the polls off the back of falling oil prices and Bin Laden videos)
