I've no idea whether the current allegations are true or not, but he just referred to himself in the third person in his BBC interview. Never a good sign.
Who's ken? I'm deeply suspicious of Galloway, although equally prepared to believe he's been fitted up. Galloway was making political capital out of Rover and a hack asked him why he drove a Mercedes. He said he'd like to drive a rover, but they didn't make one that 'could perform the tasks my mercedes is required to'.
Don't like the term 'fisking' - if you've ever read Robert Fisk's book on Lebanon (Pity the Nation), he's a great journalist, it's excellent. His Iraq stuff is a bit more opinion piece than straight reportage, but he's generally been right there too.
Ken? Someone we don't know reads this? Surely a Fitzroy Tuesday first.
Galloway is dreadful but I'd be surprised if he's really dodgy in the way suggested. The Telegraph and others have already screwed up on this (the blog that Ken suggests is hopeless), and as Galloway himself says, it would be a bit noticeable if a MP was going round with millions of barrels of oil. He may be a terrible egotist, but I doubt if he's a crook.
in the language he's been using it sounds like he might have had options (or the promise of options) but didn't (have the opportunity to?) take them up.
bet his ego is enjoying the attention in any case. bring back kilroy-silk...
