I know it's been linked to before, but it's worth mentioning again that the Undiscovered Scotland website is totally fantastic browsing fodder. I particularly like this bit.
Have you ever used the Scotland the Best guide book? It's pretty good - despite being written by the guy who came up with Edinburgh's Hogmanay. It's not just for foreign tourists, and has a great '10 things you must see before you die' section.
i remember looking through someone else's copy a few years back - thought it was pretty good. i assume it's the sort of thing that gets revised on a regular (yearly?) basis, must get a copy when we eventually move back up.
I like this page myself, although speaking as a colour blind type, I don't think the red writing on green background map would qualify for Bobby compliance... drone... waffle... accessibility... blah... etc.

Hadn't thought about it from that angle I'll admit. Don't mind the colour scheme, personally.
